Territorial landslide early warning systems (Te-LEWS)

The response usually includes information, communication and emergency strategies, such as education activities and the application of emergency plans. The actors involved and the activities undertaken vary for each Te-LEWS and, within each system, they are a function of the warning level. Also the methods and the media employed to warn of a certain level of warning, as well as the public informed, substantially vary among each system, mainly in relation to the aims for which the system is designed and employed.
